Generally viewed as one of the most upscale restaurants in downtown Saskatoon, Truffles Bistro lives up to the hype. While you may associate Truffles with rather expensive five course dinners of French cuisine with wine pairings, they’re also serving up some pretty delicious, reasonably affordable single plate meals for lunch. This restaurant seems quite committed to sourcing as much of their food as they can from Saskatchewan and the rest of Canada, so you even get a bit of that farmers market satisfaction from eating here.
Fried Chicken Sandwich Special:
Saskatchewan Beef Burger:
You get the feeling while eating here that they went above and beyond what you were expecting with every dish you get. They could have just made a regular grilled cheese sandwich, but they put some pork belly in there. The burger is delicious enough as it is, but it also comes on a great cheese bun with loads of fancy toppings. The poutine could say it just comes with gravy, instead it is topped with demi-glace. These may just be fancy words and small finishing touches, but they make the meal that much more enjoyable. If you’re looking to celebrate your friends birthday, impress a boss, or just enjoy some really fine food, go check Truffles out.
